The Chapel Boutique B&B
This extraordinary grade II listed building, only ten minutes’ walk to the Harrogate town centre, offers itself as a spectacular Bed and Breakfast experience. It is unique because it was originally a Wesleyan chapel, built in 1896, and has been sensitively and ingeniously restored to include such objects d’art and eclectic themed spaces such as one would find in a museum rather than a guest house. The bedrooms share two living spaces which are themed as a men’s smoking room and a woman’s boudoir respectively.
Review
It is not often that we are compelled to include a Bed and Breakfast venue as an attraction in our Top 100 books, but this is one of those that merits full mention of its multifaceted wonders. The Chapel Harrogate started life as a Wesleyan chapel, built in 1896, and offers an historic experience as much as being a B&B. Apart from the incredibly well thought out décor and memorabilia, The Chapel sports a 50ft high atrium which lends itself beautifully to the hosting of weddings, corporate events, special occasions and of course film and photography shoots. This is because of the plethora of memorabilia and collectables that lavishly garnish the spectacular interiors. It is difficult to describe such beauty in words and so we urge you to have a sneak peek at their website. Prepare to be blown away.
