The Bulman Bar & Restaurant
Review
After nearly two decades writing my Top 100 Attractions series, I thought very little could still surprise me, but Bulmans Bar & Restaurant absolutely did. Just a few miles from vibrant Kinsale and set against the wild Atlantic shoreline, this place delivers the full package: exceptional food, warm service, and an atmosphere that feels instantly welcoming. The kitchen shows real confidence, balancing classic favourites with beautifully prepared seafood and generous, flavour-packed plates that celebrate local produce. Every dish arrives with care, and the standard is consistently high from first bite to last. Donal Crosby and his siblings have, in my view, created one of County Cork’s standout dining destinations. It’s easy to see why I’ve endorsed Bulmans as one of my Iconic Irish Pubs. If you value honest hospitality, top-quality cooking, and a setting that captures coastal Ireland at its best, Bulmans is a must-visit for every true food lover
