Kinsale Cruises
Review
Kinsale is one of Co. Cork’s premier towns, and its storied harbour begs to be seen from the water. Kinsale Cruises delivers that. A relaxed, well-run ferry tour that reframes the coastline from a fresh perspective. Operating successfully for years under seasoned ownership, the company inspires confidence from the first hello to the last dockline. I know their standards first-hand: the same owner runs Westport Cruises in Mayo, which I’ve endorsed, so you’re in safe hands. On board, engaging commentary stitches together history, maritime lore, wildlife spotting, and local anecdotes, all peppered with that easy Irish humour you simply won’t find elsewhere. The crew are friendly, attentive, and quick with recommendations for cafés and pubs once you’re back ashore. Views sweep from colourful waterfronts to headlands and harbour defences, revealing Kinsale at its most photogenic. If you want an informative, entertaining introduction to the town, this is the cruise to book.

Clonakilty is a town that wears its history with pride, and O’Donovans Hotel feels like one of the places where that story is still being lived.
