Spendloves Café in Greystones, Co. Wicklow, is proof that a change of hands doesn’t mean a change in heart. Now owned by Mark Atkins, this much-loved spot has not only maintained the warm legacy of Nigel Spendlove, it’s arguably busier than ever, with locals and visitors happily queuing for their fix. The menu leans into comforting café classics: light bites that are big on flavour, proper hot drinks made with care, and an array of cakes that demand a second look (and often a second slice). Their wide selection of ice creams adds a fun, seaside-holiday feel, whatever the weather outside. Whether you’re refuelling after a coastal walk or simply in need of a treat, Spendloves Café absolutely deserves a place on your Greystones itinerary.
