SC2
At SC2 we have something for every visitor, whether you’re a thrill seeker, a paddler or just want to relax and enjoy a bite to eat. Our main waterpark is suitable for all ages and abilities and with a maximum depth of 90cm, children will be able to explore and enjoy the water at their own pace. The Anaconda is the fastest flume in the park, a high speed wave ride which zooms you through complete darkness and out of a snake’s gaping jaws. Just watch out for those fangs! The battle to reach the bottom starts at the top of Speedster, and it’s definitely quicker to go down than up! Grab a rubber ring and speed down the Boomerang on your own or in pairs! For those who fancy keeping their feet dry, why not try Ninja Tag, an exciting assault course where you collect points as you race around the structure. For our younger visitors - follow the footsteps of our friendly dinosaurs to SC2 Adventure Play, a rainforest themed indoor soft play, hosting a range of bright and fun characters, slides, ropes and puzzles all designed to give little ones the chance to explore the wilderness.
Review
Having featured the original Rhyl Sun Centre in our very first edition of the Top 100 Attractions in Wales book back in 2012, then its eventual closure just a few years later, I’ve followed the plans of SC2 with great anticipation, in fact, Top 100 Attractions has been following the whole regeneration project to turn Rhyl’s waterfront back into being a thriving visitor attraction once again. But here we are in 2019, SC2 is now open and with an anticipated 350,000 visitors a year, they will all be able to enjoy this £15 million water park that is set to make more water fun memories as did its predecessor for decades. I found the prices very reasonable and if you book online, you’ll be able to avail of even better prices. Talking about online, SC2 has a really good user friendly website and together with its opening times, all the information you need to know is on there, so what are you waiting for? Get your swimming kit packed!

Ty’n Rhyl Restaurant with Rooms
You can be forgiven for thinking that Rhyl and the area surrounding it, is just about caravan parks, kiss me quick hats, and sticks of rock. However, if that is your perception of the town of Rhyl, believe me, it’s a misconception.
