Raise View

Accommodation

A traditional Lakeland Stone House with magnificent views of the surrounding fells, just five minutes walk from the centre of the village, Raise View House is perfectly situated to explore the whole region yet some of the area’s most breathtaking scenery and fascinating attractions are right on the doorstep. Lots of walking in our local area whether low level or high fells, the house is also a great base to drive into Langdale, Borrowdale or the Ullswater area, there’s even a great bus service. Follow Miss Potter's footsteps from the house and discover for yourselves why she loved the Lake District. Wordsworth lived in Grasmere and many of the most famous poets were regular visitors, its a truly magical area with stunning scenery and we look forward to welcoming you for a weekend stay or hopefully longer in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.Raise View's five ensuite bedrooms are all tastefully decorated and furnished to a style, which complements the ambience of this traditional Lakeland house.

The rooms are named after local interest and all rooms enjoy fine views with the four rooms at the back of the house sharing the majestic splendour of the Easedale and surrounding fells. All our rooms are stylishly appointed with fully co-ordinated soft furnishings and flat screen televisions complete with freeview.

The Garden & The View

With the ever-changing backdrop of the surrounding fell the garden is the perfect place to enjoy this unique vista. The garden is a picture at all times of the year with the early spring daffodils being replaced by lupins and foxgloves in the summer. The guests’ garden is the ideal spot to relax and enjoy the late afternoon sun, which eventually sets majestically over Helm Crag.
