Quaywest Winebar & Restaurant

Eating OutRomance

Review

The Quaywest Bar & Restaurant has been a constant in my Top 100 Attractions for eleven years and it still remains a special place. That’s why it belongs in my Romantic Destinations book: it’s made for lingering looks and unhurried conversation. The food is fantastic, seasonally local, vibrant and plated with quiet confidence, while the team are warm and attentive without being over-fussy. Soft lighting, the low hum of conversation and the Foyle’s shimmer beyond the windows create an ambiance you feel as much as see. Start with a cocktail for two, share something indulgent, then let time slow down. When you finally step outside, Queen’s Quay is only moments away; stroll hand-in-hand along the waterfront and cross the Peace Bridge as the city lights glitter on the river. Quaywest doesn’t just serve dinner, it stages a memory, the kind you’ll talk about together long after the plates are cleared.
