Penicuik House
Review
Penicuik House, along with its fantastic parkland is more than worthy of its Heritage and Gardens & Parklands hidden gems, let’s touch upon the ‘heritage’ gem first. The family, who have owned Penicuik House for centuries, could have easily knocked this house down years ago, but their love for the property has meant they have tirelessly worked on preserving the house and believe me, what a wonderful job they have done and the preservation itself, stands as an example to others, just exactly what can be done if you love a property as much as the Clerk family do Penicuik House. Then there are the parklands, all 500 hectares of them and although it would be impossible to see all of it, its very much worth a trip around some of it and with being dog friendly, you can bring your trusty friend along too. So, in short, we absolutely love Penicuik House and Parkland and I’m sure when visited, you will too!
