Old Holly Farm is a family run, working dairy farm and is passionate about giving children (adults alike!) the opportunity to see, touch, hear, smell and taste a real working farm. The open farm boasts free entry and parking, which makes it a great value day out. With the traditional farm animals in the courtyard, the popular calf shed and the outdoor paddocks children interact with animals in a safe environment. Remember we are a working farm and we encourage all our customers to use the hand-washing facilities and information provided. The fantastic indoor Playbarn is perfect for ages 0-9, with kids party packages and its very own café. The Courtyard Café offers home-made food, cakes and refreshing drinks in a family friendly environment. The Farm Shop is full of local treats, toys and of course Coolcow Ice cream which is made using the Old Holly cow's milk. You can even watch the cows being milked at 4.30pm everyday. Open from 9am - 5pm, all year round

Farms in this country haven't had it easy over the past fifteen to twenty years, but some farmers found a way to fight back, by diversifying their businesses, Old Holly Farm was one of those businesses that found the courage to change with the times. On the day that I visited the farm, the sun was cracking the flags, but one of the things I liked about this attraction was, even if it had of been a rainy day, there are plenty of things to do indoor with the inclusion of their very popular Play Barn. Another aspect of the farm that I really liked was the Farm Shop and Café which stocks items not only from their still working farm, but from other locally sourced businesses also.
