In an era when traditional pubs are under pressure, the McDermotts continue to navigate through choppy waters, excuse the pun. Now in its fourth generation, Patsy and Stephen McDermott, alongside their son Paudie, keep the spirit of the place alive with genuine warmth and hard-earned know-how. This is a true home of trad music, where the sessions feel authentic, lively, and beautifully unforced. The food is honest, hearty, and refreshingly unpretentious, with prices that still feel fair. You arrive as a visitor, but you leave feeling like a local friend on every single visit here.
