Mammy Johnston's Ice Cream Parlour & Cafe
Review
Mammy Johnstons Ice Cream Parlour and Cafe is one of those rare places that blends heritage, quality and simple enjoyment so effortlessly. This is not the first time I have endorsed Mammy Johnstons in this book and, after my latest visit, I am certain it will not be the last. Owner Neil Byrne clearly understands the importance of preserving the legacy of a business that first opened in the 1930s and proudly holds the distinction of being Ireland’s first ice cream parlour. With a superb range, all made locally, it is easy to understand why this award-winning spot remains so popular. Yet Mammy Johnstons is more than just exceptional ice cream. Their café offering, from delicious crepes to expertly prepared coffee, makes this a wonderfully well-rounded destination.
