Review
Having visited many farm parks throughout the United Kingdom, after a while you could be forgiven for thinking that they may all blur into one after a while, but the ones that we choose simply don’t. Take this attraction, Mabie Farm Park for instance. Located in the middle of the Dumfriesshire lush green countryside, this farm park really came as a little surprise. With so many things to do, from feeding the animals, to donkey rides, walking around the many animal paddocks, just to name but a few of the many things that are on offer here at this fantastic little attraction. I found the staff to be really friendly, but not overly and the animals were in really good health and to top the lot, I didn’t feel as though everything was too expensive, like a lot of other attractions, which of course is one of our Top 100 Criteria.

The Boathouse Restaurant in the waterside village of Glencaple is one of those rare places deserving far more than a passing mention. I upgraded it to a full page because 125 words could never convey just how impressive it is. Set beside the Nith Estuary, with an inviting outdoor decking area for brighter days, the setting is every bit as memorable as the food. General manager and chef Mari Glendinning understands
