Lochranza Distillery
Review
There are in and around 120 Whisky distilleries in Scotland and that number seems to be growing every year, as whisky itself is becoming more and more popular. Here on the island, there are just 2 and even though both are owned by the same company, each distillery is completely different from the other, not only within the whisky it makes, but in its facilities. Here at Lochranza, this was the islands first and is the more traditional, yet that means nothing when it comes to it’s tour and facilities, which really are second to none. This award winning visitor centre has people flocking from all over the world and I found its staff to be really knowledgeable and friendly, which is more important than fancy facilities. The tour was hugely enjoyable and even though I don’t drink, the member of staff went out of their way to accommodate me at the end.
