Review

Ireland can sometimes feel geared toward grown-ups, but places like Lisduff Adventure Farm in Lisduff, Co. Laois prove just how family-friendly this island really is. The indoor activity centre is a lifesaver on wet days, with two separate play zones: a gentle space for toddlers and a bigger, energy-burning arena where older kids can run riot. Step outside and the fun only expands, with crazy golf, a soccer area and a duck pond that instantly becomes everyone’s favourite stop. For me, the highlight is the animal area; if you’re an animal lover, you’ll understand the calm joy of meeting the residents up close, and it’s just as popular with adults as it is with children. An on-site restaurant rounds out the day nicely. And for those groups looking for something unique, try the Bogathon, it’s a gloriously muddy, uniquely challenging group adventure that will have everyone laughing and cheering together.
