Review
Lawlor’s of Naas is, in my opinion, one of the most distinctive hotels of its kind anywhere on the island of Ireland. For a book centred on romantic destinations, it fits beautifully, though this is a place with genuine appeal for guests of every age. Open for well over a century, the hotel blends heritage, comfort and character in a way that feels effortless. It delivers the style and luxury of a boutique stay, but without any of the stiffness or self-importance that can sometimes come with it. Locally owned and rich in story, there is history around every corner, and during my visit I found myself stopping repeatedly in admiration. With cosy bedrooms, a wonderful bar and restaurant, friendly staff and even its own underground car park, Lawlor’s of Naas offers far more than a bed for the night. It offers an experience, and for couples especially, a rather lovely one.
