Lakeland Miniature Village
Review
The Lakeland Model Village holds a special place in my heart, having endorsed it not once but twice in my Top 100 Attractions in North West England book. Now, in my romantic destinations edition, I find myself drawn to its charm once again. For over two decades, this miniature marvel has captivated visitors, transitioning seamlessly from its original home in Flookburgh to its current location behind the Damson Dene Hotel. The village's survival is owed to the dedication of Jonathan Denby, the hotel's owner, who rescued it when the original owners retired. There is a small charge, however I think it offers great value for money. The intricate details of the models and the picturesque setting make the Lakeland Model Village a timeless gem. My affection for this enchanting destination remains unwavering, and I am confident that anyone who visits will share in the delight I've experienced over the years.
