Kerry Vale Vineyard
Kerry Vale Vineyard is a small, family run, English vineyard situated on the Welsh / English border of rural Shropshire. Planted in 2010 and covering six acres of farmland, on what was the Roman Fort of Pentrheyling, the vineyard resides at the eastern tip of the Vale of Kerry - an area of exceptional beauty , just 3 miles south of the charming town of Montgomery.
We run vineyard tours three times a week and our Wine Café and Cellar Door shop are open throughout the season for morning coffee, lunches and afternoon tea. Tasting wines and understanding how they are made is all part of the experience at Kerry Vale Vineyard. Whether you are looking for an interesting place to visit or a gift, our tours are perfect for anyone who enjoys wine.

Review
We have a wide selection of tourist attractions within this new edition of the Top 100 Attractions in Wales. We have castles, gardens, farm parks and that is just to name but a few. But we have a new type of attraction to the book and that is vineyards. Vineyard tours are normally associated with Italy and the South of France, but you don't actually have to travel that far anymore. Wales really is putting itself on the map when it comes to vineyard tours, and it is all thanks to businesses like the one here just a stones throw from Welshpool. Kerry Vale Vineyard in my opinion is a slickly run operation from start to finish. With Self guided tours running daily, and more specialised tours available also, Kerry Vale is wine heaven. Being a family run business, they have not let this business run away with them, and with a well stocked cafe, I would estimate at least half a day here!
