I visited Joyce Country Dogs last year after discussing inclusion in my Top 100 Attractions book, website and app. At the time and after explaining everything to him at our meeting, Joe Joyce agreed to proceed and signed the order form. However, many months later I was rudely and arrogantly contacted by him to say the agreed design invoice would not be paid, despite the signed paperwork. That abrupt change of position left me extremely disappointed and out of pocket, and it has completely undermined my confidence in the business side of this experience. It’s a real shame, because in person Joe came across as friendly and genuine, and I expected the same professionalism after our meeting. Unfortunately, my own experience did not match those expectations. If you’re considering booking, I’d strongly recommend having crystal-clear written terms in place before committing to anything and don’t part with money until your absolutely satisfied and ensuring you’re comfortable with the arrangements in advance. Based on what happened to me, I must warn you, this is far from a Top 100 Attraction! There are other sheepdog demonstrations through Ireland, maybe give them a try instead!
