Sitting elegantly on the banks of the Grand Canal at Shannon Harbour, Banagher, Co Offaly, the 3 star Harbour Master's House B&B offers its' visitors a warm and wonderful “Céad Míle Fáilte” Irish Welcome. Grainne and Jim Kirwan have run their historic and charming home as a B&B since 2000 and have earned an enviable reputation as congenial and wonderful hosts.
The Harbour Master's House B&B boasts many recommendations, including Georgina Campbell's Ireland Guide. It also features in the short documentary/film “A Grand Experience - A Journey on the Grand Canal from Shannon Harbour to Edenderry”. This film was commissioned by Offaly County Council and shown on Ireland's national TV station RTE in 2012.
The 3-Star Harbour Master's House has 5 stylish and comfortable en-suite bedrooms, all furnished tastefully throughout. The comfort and ambience is created using a mix of modern and period furniture, upholstery and soft furnishings.
