The new Galloway Distillery is an exciting addition to Scotland’s spirits scene and one deeply rooted in its surroundings. Founded in 2025 by Scottish actor Sam Heughan and his friend Alex Norouzi, this venture is about far more than business. For Sam, it represents an opportunity to place his homeland of Galloway firmly on the whisky map, while showcasing a crafted collection of distinctive spirits. There are a few tour options here. The standard distillery tour offers excellent value, taking visitors behind the scenes to reveal the people, processes and passion shaping every bottle.
