Fota Wildlife Park
Review
Fota Wildlife Park remains one of Ireland’s finest family attractions, and this is the second time I have proudly endorsed it in my book. Returning after just a few years, I found it even stronger than before. Established in 1983, and set across 100 acres, Fota Wildlife Park is a leading, not-for-profit wildlife visitor attraction situated on Fota Island, just a 20-minute drive from Cork City, it is also easily accessible by train via the Cork to Cobh line.. Its breeding
programmes for endangered species are genuinely important and deserve recognition. Across all three of my visits, I have enjoyed clear sightings of the major animals, each encounter memorable and full of wonder. The staff are experienced, friendly, and always generous with their knowledge. The grounds are spotless, the visitor facilities excellent, and the overall experience consistently first class today. I think it’s always best to check the website for seasonal opening updates and feeding times and wildlife talks schedules.

Bella Vista Hotel & Suites
When you’ve been busy sight seeing all day and all you want todo is just relax in comfort, The Bella Vista Hotel and Suites is the perfect base with which to just relax and unwind. I was lucky enough to be shown around by Frederics, the general manager of this hotel and despite working in several other hotels, he is so passionate about this particular accommodation and so he should be.

Clonakilty is a town that wears its history with pride, and O’Donovans Hotel feels like one of the places where that story is still being lived. It’s rare I’m lost for where to begin, but here the past and present are so neatly woven that you notice it in every corner. Bedrooms are honest and cosy,
