Escape to the countryside for the day at Farmer Gows Activity Farm. This working farm offers hands-on feeding with lots of the animals along with a daily programme of workshops and experiences that help get you even closer to farm life. Meet cattle, chickens, ducks, geese, goats, pigs, sheep and turkeys. Cradle a baby chick, bottle-feed the lambs and goat kids and go egg collecting. There are trailer rides around the farm and you can partake in a treasure hunt on the giant bale climb! If you want to extend your stay then there are local links to camping or glamping sites and you can pick up fresh meat and chopped firewood from the shop. Everything you need for a cosy night in! Be a farmer for the day!

Farmer Gow's is one of those hidden gem attractions with a huge personality and I loved how much hands on stuff there is to do here. Farm parks by design are very children orientated, however at this particular attraction, even the mums and dads looked they were having a brilliant time. From field to fork is something very close to my heart and I think it is very important to educate children from an early age, all about where animals come from and the part they play in the world and this is something that Farmer Gow's does very well. Slightly off topic but still very much at the heart of what this attraction has to offer its visitors, is their glamping site. Credit where credit is due, this has to be one of the best Glamping sites that I have ever seen and the facilities just blew me away.
