Dunmore Adventure & Sea Safari
Review
Dunmore Adventure in Dunmore East is one of those places that instantly reminds you why Ireland’s coastal attractions are so special. Beautifully positioned beside its marina, with a beach right on hand, this long-established, family-run centre has been helping visitors create brilliant memories for more than thirty years and counting. What impressed me most was the professionalism behind the fun. After meeting one of the owners Karen, it was clear that safety, quality equipment and genuine experience sit at the heart of everything they do. From the inflatable Wibit Aquapark to kayaking, archery, caving, climbing and the ever-popular high ropes course, there is something here for almost every adventurous family member. Their summer camps are hugely sought after too, so early booking is very sensible. Dunmore Adventure is energetic, well organised and wonderfully confidence-inspiring. For families, friends or groups visiting Waterford, this is an experience I would happily recommend without hesitation.
Sea Safaris
A Sea Safari with Dunmore Adventure is one of those exhilarating experiences that is heard to replicate. This part of Ireland is truly stunning and this is a great way to experience it. Departing from Dunmore East, this exhilarating coastal journey takes you along the remarkable meeting point of County Waterford and County Wexford, where every headland, cove and stretch of water seems to carry its own story. Aboard the Vadrefjord, meaning Waterford in Viking, you are in safe, capable hands from the moment you step on board. From the drama of Hook Lighthouse to hidden inlets, seabirds, marine wildlife and tales of seafaring heritage, the trip delivers excitement, scenery and history in equal measure. It is fast, fresh, memorable and wonderfully professional, yet still has that sense of pure adventure families will love. For visitors to Dunmore East, this is not just a boat trip; it is an unforgettable highlight.
Splash Café
Splash Café at Dunmore Adventure is one of those lovely little discoveries that adds even more charm to a visit to Dunmore East. You certainly don’t need to be joining in with the adventure activities to call in, and that is part of its appeal. Whether it’s a freshly ground coffee, a light snack, or a relaxed lunch you’re after, this bright, contemporary café delivers with proper tasty sustenance with real ease. Its position within the adventure centre gives it a lively atmosphere, with the added bonus of being able to watch the action unfold from a comfortable distance. For those taking part, it is the ideal spot to pause, recharge and enjoy refreshments. Modern, welcoming and full of energy, Splash Café is open to everyone.
