Decoy Country Cottages

Accommodation

Review

Set amid the Boyne Valley, Decoy Country Cottages remains a standout retreat I’m delighted to revisit yet again. Glide effortlessly along the leafy approach and you’ll arrive at eight stylish, farm-inspired hideaways where investment shows in every finish. Contemporary comforts meet gentle rural character; interiors are thoughtfully appointed, deftly decorated and maintained with real pride. Paula’s warm, can-do presence anchors the experience, welcoming, organised and quick with directions to trails, heritage sites and good coffee. It’s peaceful here: room to breathe, space for families or couples and plenty of privacy between cottages. The setting is superb for day trips, placing Newgrange, Trim and the river towns within easy reach. As a touring base it’s hard to beat: Dublin and Northern Ireland are roughly an hour’s drive in either direction. Polished, restful and remarkably convenient, Decoy delivers the countryside escape you’ll happily recommend. Return once, and you’ll likely plan a second.
