Cronin’s Sheebeen, perched at the end of Westport Harbour, is easily one of Co. Mayo’s top culinary gems. With breathtaking views over Clew Bay, this award-winning pub and restaurant is the perfect spot to enjoy the freshest local seafood. Even if fish isn’t your thing, their superb field-to-fork menu has something for everyone, with locally sourced meats and seasonal produce taking centre stage. The warm, welcoming atmosphere is only heightened by their lively traditional Irish music nights, a true celebration of Irish culture. Having now visited here, I can safely say a trip to Cronin’s is as restorative for the soul as a pilgrimage to Knock or Croagh Patrick! Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place should be top of your list.
