A spectacular day out and one of the World's true natural wonders!
Visit Britain's biggest gorge, take in the dramatic cliffs rising up 450ft and explore the stunning stalactite caverns below. This renowned beauty spot is not only a natural nature reserve but also a famous site of pre-historic discoveries.
There are seven great attractions to explore, including the breath-taking Gough's Cave, Coxes Cave, Museum of Prehistory, the 274 steps to the Lookout Tower and experience the magnificent views on the Cliff-top Gorge Walk. For the more adventurous visitor there is also the chance to take part in the popular X-treme side of Cheddar Gorge with caving, rock climbing and the new cave abseil experience.

Review
Ever since being at school I've known all about Cheddar Gorge, in fact, I don't think there are many children in the UK that haven't yet heard of, or visited this natural British wonder. Half a million visitors a year visit this attraction, and to those holidaying close by to Cheddar, I would truly recommend you pay the gorge and caves a visit. We didn't just select Cheddar Gorge because it's a huge attraction, we chose Cheddar Gorge because of its amazing value for money set against the visitor experience that this attraction offers. Going back to when I was at school, I thought Cheddar was just about climbing through tight spaces, but this attraction is so much more than that! You can spend as little or as long as you like here, but with everything on offer at this attraction, I would set aside a full day for your Cheddar visit.
