As soon as you turn the corner into Plush, you're greeted by the Brace of Pheasants, a charming 16th-century, grade II listed thatched inn. This quintessential British country inn exudes warmth and character. The latest custodians, Matthew and Shannon from South Africa, have infused the pub with their passion and expertise. Matt’s particularly adept at managing this delightful establishment. During my stay, I experienced one of the best nights' sleep in recent months. A visit to the Brace of Pheasants wouldn't be complete without dining here. The pub is a true destination for food lovers. I savored the exquisite lamb, which left me pleasantly full until breakfast. The morning offering featured an array of locally sourced produce, a perfect start to the day. This award-winning pub is the epitome of a country inn, and with Matthew and Shannon at the helm, it continues to shine as a gem in Dorset.
