Bluecoat

Attractions

Located in the heart of Liverpool, Bluecoat has become an unmissable UK Landmark. It is a must-see on the contemporary culture map. Discover some incredible designs by some of the most talented independent retailers. Walking through the garden and front courtyard has never been so exciting! They display talent across all the creative disciplines. From literature, to art, dance, or music, there is something for everyone.
It is a wonderful place to discover new talent and they provide some great studio spaces for artists who can fit in this fantastic creative community. In 2008, it had a major £14.5m redevelopment. Can you believe that it is the oldest Grade 1 listed building in the heart of Liverpool? In the hub, you can also get some great snacks and coffee. For something a little more consistent, head to the first floor for some wine and delicious food options. Interested in holding a unique and memorable event? You can hire those spaces for birthday parties, business meetings, or training sessions too.

Review

The Bluecoat is far more than just an event space and as far as contemporary arts is concerned, it is an Liverpool institution and one that couldn’t easily be replicated anywhere else. Just exactly when the Beatles were rocking the scene at the cavern club in the 60’s, literally only a short distance away from this iconic building, the Bluecoat was having exactly the same effect on art lovers from all over the world. The experienced team here at the Bluecoat, along with thousands of artists whose work has been shown here over the decades, have always been true to the venues core values, equality, diversity and sustainability runs through every brick and nail of this buildings very fabric. With so many events and exhibitions running here on a yearly basis, it’s hard for me to tell you about them all, but I’m probably best directing you to their very informative website, where all the latest goings on are all featured on there.
