Beirhope Alpacas
Review
Having visited numerous alpaca and llama trekking centres throughout the British Isles and Ireland, I genuinely thought I’d seen it all. However, Beirhope Alpacas, set amongst the breathtaking Cheviot Hills in the Scottish Borders, delivered a wonderful surprise. For the first time, I had the absolute pleasure of seeing baby alpacas, and what delightful little characters they were! Family owned and lovingly run, The award winning Beirhope is a shining example of how an animal attraction should operate. The family's knowledge, enthusiasm and genuine affection for their alpacas are evident throughout, with animal welfare clearly paramount. Beyond the trekking experiences, Beirhope also offers excellent camping facilities, allowing visitors to spend the night surrounded by magnificent countryside and wonderfully curious alpacas. With spectacular Dark Skies overhead, evenings here are simply magical. There's something incredibly special about waking up beside these beautiful animals. An unforgettable experience and undoubtedly one of Scotland's finest hidden gems!
