Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture
Review
“Just a smudge, but what it becomes in his hands, curving and sweeping, rising and reaching, I could feel what he what he was feeling…” K. Bush.
Sharing with the world, his individual vision and unique approach to life and art, has always been the dream of british sculptor, painter, performance artist and owner of high end jewellery brand; Andrew Logan. This intensely fascinating artist is also the inventor and perpetual host of ‘Alternative Miss World’, and The Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture near Welshpool in Powys, is first to be devoted to a living artist. The museum acts as a dynamic backdrop, against which Andrew sets forth the work he has created over the decades including: sculptures, mirrored portraits, water colours, designer costume jewellery and awesome photographs from the mid-sixties to the present day. Indeed, Andrew was the inspiration behind film-maker Derek Jarman, who’s work documented the unique, electrical social scene around Andrew Logan’s studios in London, where in 1976 Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood introduced the Sex Pistols to the world.
