Wrights Findlater Howth
Review
Howth Findlater is one of those rare village venues that manages to feel steeped in history while remaining fresh, stylish and wonderfully relevant. Named after Alexander Findlater, the noted whiskey trader and philanthropist, this landmark building continues to honour that legacy under the stewardship of Michael Wright, whose own contribution to Howth is plain to see. I was especially taken by the two distinct food offerings available here. Firstly, the bar menu delivers comforting favourites with real flair, making it ideal for a relaxed lunch or casual bite by the sea. Secondly, the restaurant offering brings a more polished dining experience, where carefully prepared dishes and quality ingredients take centre stage. Add to that a superb drinks selection, from a perfectly poured Guinness to expertly made cocktails, and you have a venue that truly caters for all tastes. Findlater remains one of Howth’s most impressive places to dine, unwind and soak up local character.
