Much frequented indeed is the extremely popular White Lion Inn, situated in Llanelian yn Rhos, just above Old Colwyn, Conwy. Booking a table in advance is most definitely a good idea, as in the blink of an eye, people in the know, will beat you to it! So good is the reputation of the food, general ambiance and excellent reputation of this fascinating little piece of history. Long regarded by experts to be the oldest inn in Wales, it’s the kind of country pub one dreams of. Soft, leather chairs in front of roaring inglenook fireplaces, pristine stone floors, but most importantly; proper, hearty, traditional food. There’s none of your tuiles or fancy foams here thank you very much ( except for the foam on real ale of course) , just food, glorious food.
