The Square & Compass
Review
“ Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart”. A.A.Milne.
The eye-catching green hat of Long Mountain, stands proudly atop the pretty village of Forden, near Welshpool, Powys. So after a long day sightseeing around the fine Georgian buildings of Welshpools main streets, or perhaps you’re on the trail of the long and winding Offas Dyke Path. Then the small but perfectly formed Square and Compass pub makes a welcome sight. Extremely popular and it’s easy to see why. The welcome is genuine and warm and a lovely ambiance of
rest and relaxation from all worldly pressures, weaves an intoxicating spell upon the weary traveller. Serving excellent beverages, (including a top notch Guinness), you know you’ve dropped on a gem of a pub. Freshly cooked delicious food from the scrumptious menu, hospitality like it used to be.
