The Sound Cafe
Just the journey to The Sound is breathtaking, but The Sound itself is truly one of the most scenic locations in the British Isles. The Sound Cafe and Restaurant offers wholesome food and uninterrupted 180 degree panorama of the Calf and coastal surroundings from the spot where you dine. On sunny days you'll see swooping seabirds, seals sunbathing on the small rocky islet between the Sound and Calf, known as Kitterland. The area is also a hotspot for dolphins and basking sharks.
In summer, boat trips to the neighbouring Calf are available from the nearby villages of Port Erin and Port St Mary. Contact us for details.
Opening times April to October, 10am to sunset (last orders)
