The Raddle Inn
Review
The Raddle Inn is one of those charming country escapes that feels almost too good to share. Located only a hop, skip and jump from Alton Towers, a short drive from Stoke and its surrounding potteries towns, and beautifully placed for the Peak District, it makes a wonderful base for exploring Staffordshire and beyond. Family owned, with Peter Wilkinson proudly at the helm, he bought the pub back in 1991 and believe me, the Raddle has real heart. I had the pleasure of spending time with Peter, and his pride in what he has created is obvious in every corner. With six lodges and a self-catering cottage, staying here feels wonderfully relaxed, romantic and refreshingly personal. The views opposite the pub, sweeping across the Staffordshire countryside, could easily belong on a postcard. For couples seeking fresh air, comfort, character and a little countryside magic, The Raddle Inn is an absolute gem.
