The Piece Hall
Review
The Piece Hall in Halifax is a majestic eighteenth-century cloth hall, and the last of its kind. It is a Grade 1 listed building with a vast, impressive courtyard that occupies its territory proudly. Visitors to the Piece Hall are welcome to join a complimentary guided heritage tour or to explore the heritage spaces that will transport you back to the time when trade here was brisk. However, the Piece Hall also hosts an entire spectrum of entertainments, from food and drink events to contemporary music, and everything in between. Some of the events and shows are free of charge. Private spaces available to hire include a variety of rooms which can be used for training, meetings or weddings. Most notable perhaps are the independent retail outlets featured at the hall. Shops, cafes and bars which feature anything from art and antiques to fashion, vinyl, books, home accessories and eco products.
