This traditional rustic style country pub is tucked away in the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds. It oozes character, comfort and excellence. The Old Star has an eclectic retro style and has been decorated tastefully. It offers a wonderfully spacious and comfortable dining area. They also have a large outside space in the beer garden; perfect to enjoy a pint on the wonderful summer evenings. The inside area is also lovely, with great open fires and log burners making for a warm and cosy atmosphere on winter nights. The food is absolutely delicious. Fresh, homemade meals using local produce and served in generous portions offering real value for money. They offer an ever-changing menu with plenty to choose from, as well as options for vegans, vegetarians and those who prefer gluten free food. The staff is friendly, efficient, accommodating, and the service is flawless. What a superbly run pub!
