Having travelled extensively throughout the Scottish Borders, Peebles remains one of my favourite towns, not least for its charm and genuinely friendly people. The Neidpath Inn captures that welcoming spirit beautifully. Having personally stayed here, I can confidently recommend this delightful inn to anyone seeking comfortable, affordable accommodation without compromising on quality. The bedrooms are surprisingly spacious, yet wonderfully cosy, providing everything needed for a relaxing night’s sleep after exploring the surrounding countryside. Better still, there’s something rather appealing about enjoying a fabulous meal downstairs before retiring to your room just moments away. Unlike some larger hotels, the Neidpath Inn delivers genuine hospitality and excellent value without the hefty price tag. For travellers exploring this beautiful corner of Scotland, this is a great little find.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

When it comes to good, honest pub food, the Neidpath Inn in Peebles certainly knows how to deliver. Their thoughtfully created menu offers an excellent choice of dishes without becoming unnecessarily complicated, something I always appreciate. Having dined here myself, my original choice had proved so popular that it had already sold out, so I opted for the salmon instead. What a wonderful decision that turned out to be! Beautifully cooked, wonderfully tender and accompanied by a delicious selection of vegetables and a flavoursome sauce, it was an absolute delight. Needless to say, my plate was soon empty, ready for a dessert! With friendly service, generous hospitality and prices that represent excellent value. Should you fancy staying longer, there are comfortable bedrooms upstairs too. Highly recommended!
