In a town as characterful as Ennis, the Market Bar & Restaurant is a shining example of why this high street continues to thrive. Tucked away on a charming side street, this much-loved spot has been in the trusted hands of Barry and Bouslava for over a decade now, and their earlier years with the previous owners are clear in every detail of the experience. Service is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, while the food is consistently excellent, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. There’s a lovely atmosphere here that makes you want to linger just a little longer. Ennis is all the better for having the Market Bar & Restaurant, and I’m delighted to include it in this new edition of my Irish book.
