The Kings Arms
Review
This countryside pub is a firm favourite with me, having appeared in my previous edition of this Welsh book, The Kings Arms never disappoints. Chef Proprietor Dan Lea has spent many years in some of the country's most prestigious ‘Michelin Star’ kitchens and although the pub itself isn’t aiming for a star, Dan and his team are still giving the same attention to detail to every dish that goes out. It’s a relief to me and very rare nowadays not to see a pub like this end up in a chain of some sort, as this pub oozes charm from every crevice and with a sprinkling of contemporary thrown into the mix, The Kings Arms offers everything a country pub should be. Along with its log fire, comfy furniture and friendly staff, once through the doors, you may not want to leave, such is the charm of this place.
