It’s not every day you stumble across a restaurant run by people who share your surname, but that’s exactly what happened at The Galley in Annalong. Owned by the hardworking Stevenson brothers, Ryan, Neil, and Mark, this spot is a true gem. Ryan runs the show here, and it’s safe to say The Galley is one of the best fish and chip shops, not just in Co. Down but across Northern Ireland. Their modern restaurant complements the classic takeaway perfectly and it’s clear why locals and visitors alike keep coming back. As for dessert, the lemon meringue was genuinely the best I’ve ever had, light, zesty, and absolutely unforgettable. Great food, a welcoming team, and a proud Stevenson connection, what more could you ask for?
