This is the second time the Enniskillen Hotel has appeared in my Co. Fermanagh chapter and for very good reason, it has to be one of the best hotels in the town centre of Enniskillen. Featuring a number of hotels in the town before, the Enniskillen Hotel remains my firm favourite! Having gone through many major changes in the past few years, the hotel has grown from strength to strength, and I was very impressed with my last visit. I’ve endorsed both the accommodation and the restaurant in this edition before, and I am delighted to say: that it has exceeded all expectations - as no expense has been spared in upgrading the hotel. I think it is also worth mentioning Lusty Beg, this is the Cadden family's island resort, which is only a short drive from Enniskillen. I spent the night here during my stay in the area and I was beyond impressed.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Although I’ve endorsed this hotel in the previous edition of my Top 100 Attractions of Ireland, this is the first time that I have endorsed the restaurant. However, with rave reviews, and high accolades; Wildes lounge is one of the better places to eat in the town. Using fresh produce and a bit of inventive imagination, the chefs here at the hotel have created a wonderful, yet simple menu and even if you're not staying here at the hotel, you should still pop along and try Wildes out. I think I should also tell you about their new Whisky room. The whisky room plays host to a fantastic array of whiskeys from all over the globe, and with a great atmosphere, this makes a super place to retire to after dinner. So whether you're a whisky drinker or not, you can still have a tipple of your choice!
