The Brown Cow Inn
Review
The Brown Cow in Millom, is a true gem of a pub, run with passion and dedication by brothers, Martin, Richard, and Matthew Minter. Their commitment to creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere and serving top-quality food shines through in every aspect of the experience. Provenance is at the heart of their menu, ensuring that every dish reflects the best local ingredients. This is the second time I’ve endorsed The Brown Cow in one of my books, and with good reason, it’s an authentic, down-to-earth pub that doesn’t put on airs, yet delivers outstanding hospitality. The ongoing renovation of their rooms further enhances the guest experience, and I’ve been told a little secret, what is currently four rooms will soon become five. This thoughtful expansion only adds to the appeal of a wonderful pub that already excels in every way. A must-visit for great food, atmosphere, and a proper Cumbrian welcome!
