The Brown Cow
Review
The Brown Cow in Chatburn is one of those wonderful country pubs that seems to understand exactly what a real village inn should be. At the heart of the community, it offers warmth, character and the kind of welcome that makes you want to linger just that little bit longer. Headed up by Will Rodd, he and his team and the owners have worked tirelessly to create an atmosphere that is both inviting and full of charm, adding beautifully to the pub’s relaxed ambience. The food here is fantastic, built around good produce, cooked superbly and served without fuss or pretence. There is real honesty on the plate here, with generous flavours and prices that certainly won’t break the bank. Whether you are exploring this beautiful part of Lancashire, enjoying a true romantic escape, or simply passing through, The Brown Cow at Chatburn deserves a firm place on your itinerary.
