The Boat at Erbistock
Review
“Green leaves a-floating, castles of the foam, boats of mine a-boating-where will all come home.” R. L. Stevenson.
Spend a delightfully dreamy afternoon: at the famously picturesque location of The Boat at Erbistock; a 17th century, grade-II listed inn, which sits majestically upon the banks of the River Dee. Putting people first is the raison d’etre of this unique Inn, which is situated in an idyllic spot: at Erbistock near Overton-on-Dee, and takes its name from the hand-operated chain ferry, which once crossed the river at this point. The Inn and its team of chefs are proud to use locally sourced, ultra fresh produce in order to bring a wide variety of British classics and spicy world food. Diners can choose from a specialist wine stock, and also a large selection of beers from breweries across Wales, Shropshire and Cheshire. There’s a charming environment within, that blends the past and the present beautifully.
