The oldest part of The Blue Boar dates from the early 1600's and records show that it has been an ale house since that time.
The Bar is filled with authentic original character and history, with pictures on the wall, original documentation and memorabilla complementing the charming open fire and original flagstones.
- glass covered well in the restaurant bar is some 35 feet deep and its pure water has been used in the brewing process in the past. It's now the home of a family of goldfish.

Historic records trace the names of the individual landlords back as far as 1776.
