The Big Sheep

Attractions

The Big Sheep is one of Devon’s favourite award-winning attractions, just 35 minutes by car from Bude and 2 minutes from Bideford. With 12 hilarious shows, visitors will enjoy some of the most EWEnique events ever seen in the UK. Shows include the world-famous sheep race - a hysterical sporting event with sheep and jockeys, sheep from around the world strutting their stuff on stage, sheep and duck trials, sheep shearing, the lamb bottle feeding show.
Children can enjoy the magic of a real farm – new-born lambs for most of the year and other baby farm animals to feed and cuddle at Pet’s Corner.
Gentle rides for toddlers and younger children include Piggy Pull-Along, Tractor Safari, self-drive Tractor Track, Pony Rides and Vintage Carousel and Swan Pedal boats. Ewetopia, a massive indoor adventure play zone is where children (and lively adults) can burn off some energy on a selection of great slides and imaginative soft play climbing areas, tumble towers, mazes and obstacles. Devon’s biggest roller coaster and combat laser shooting appeal to older children and the awarding winning brewery is a bit hit with dads.
No matter what the weather, this award-winning family attraction is guaranteed to be the highlight of your holiday

Review

I initially heard about Big Sheep by another attraction quite close by, which I have to say is somewhat of a rarity these days, as attractions can sometimes be quite protective over the visitors they get, but not here in Devon. On the subject of attraction rivalry, I have not witnessed any attraction bad mouthing one another, in fact, they all actively promote each other which is totally refreshing to witness. Normally I look for at least something I can pick an attraction up on, however at the Big Sheep there is literally nothing I can criticise. The place is spotless, staff are super friendly and I absolutely love their cafe, including their Cherry Shortcakes! So it is no wonder the Big Sheep is one of Devons favourite attractions. I would be as bold as to say this attraction is an all day affair, so you’d better pack a picnic, not for lunch, for dinner!
