On its dedicated 12 acres site at Mount Farm the Singleton Maize Maze always has a suprise in store for its visitors with an annually changing and uniquely designed maze created in a growing crop of corn on the cob maize which grows between 8 and 10 feet tall, before it is harvested in October and used to feed the farm’s herd of pedigree Simmental cattle. The Singleton Maze also enjoys the benefits of large indoor and outdoor play areas with masses of space for pedal go-karts; football; netball; basketball; hoops; trampoline; pedal tractors; sand pit; wheelbarrows; buckets and spades; and lots more for the children. Once suitably ‘tired’ from your exertions in the maze relax and take advantage of our refreshment facilities where we offer hot and cold drinks, freshly made sandwiches, local award winning ice cream, sweets and much more.

Review

Shortly after I published the first edition of this Top 100 Attractions in North West England book, I was told about the Giant Maze at Singleton. Although I was hugely disappointed, I always knew that when I updated this book to its second edition, I would make sure it was one of the attractions I would visit first. One of the things that amazed me first, was the fact that every year brings a new Maze along with a new theme. Another thing that pleased me was that the Singleton Maize Maze is in no way commercial. They have kept to their traditional family values and a visit to this great little attraction is a must to all those visiting not only the Fylde area, but the wider Lancashire region.
