Renishaw Hall & Gardens
Review
Renishaw Hall and Gardens is situated approximately 10 miles from Sheffield’s city centre. Incredibly, this exceptionally beautiful building that looks to be something from a novel rather than real life, is occupied by the Sitwell family and has been for over 400 years. With a family history rich in poetry, literature and art, a visit to this gorgeous estate is an indulgence of all things opulent and cultural. The Sitwell Museum on site bears testimony to this. The award-winning gardens are an inspiration and a delight; celebrated for their fabulous Italianate gardens. The visit is a heady mix of art, flowers, artefacts, vineyards and sheer beauty. All rounded off by their super Café which serves snacks, meals, and their own wines. Wine tastings can be arranged, as can functions, through their website, as well as tours of the bottom floor of the home.
