Randles Hotel Killarney
Review
Randles Hotel in Killarney, together with its brand new Townhouse just 350 metres away, is the epitome of luxury without even a hint of pretentiousness. Having stayed here myself for a couple of nights during one of my Kerry visits, I can say first-hand that its reputation is richly deserved. The bedrooms are beautifully designed, stylishly furnished and wonderfully comfortable, making them ideal for couples seeking a romantic break, yet practical enough for families exploring the wider county. Tom Randle, is the second generation to run this magnificent hotel and his team strike that perfect balance of being warm, attentive and never overbearing, while the restaurant delivers food worthy of Ireland’s finest hotels. Its location is another major plus, within walking distance of Killarney town and close to many of the region’s best-loved attractions. With safe underground and overground parking, you can simply arrive, relax and let Killarney work its magic.

With three summer festivals each year, including its prestigious August fixture,

Ross Golf Club
The Ross Golf Club, is a unique Golf Course situated within the superb Killarney Racecourse complex, adding yet another string to the bow of this impressive sporting destination. This welcoming 9-hole course is ideal whether you are an accomplished golfer, a confident player looking for an enjoyable round, or a complete beginner keen to give the game a try. What I particularly like is that you do not have to be

Kennedys Pet Farm
Kennedy’s Pet Farm, just a few short miles from the bustling Kerry town of Killarney, is a wonderful family attraction and a very worthy first-time endorsement in my Island of Ireland book. Having visited more than once, I was genuinely impressed by the standards here. Even on a busy day in 2025, the farm was beautifully clean, well cared for and clearly run with real pride. The animals are friendly,
